A TEMPLE FOR THE DIVINE MOTHER

Jai Ma! Join us as we embark on a journey to create a sacred sanctuary dedicated to the Divine Mother —Kali, Lakshmi, and Durga.

Temple Opening: February 3, 2024

“If you want to make contact with Divine Mother, you have to know that the Mother is always close to Her children whether you perceive it or not.”

– Paramahamsa Vishwananda

Give to the Ones who are Endlessly Giving to Us

The Divine Mother is the source of constant Blessing. Her Love and Grace is unlike any other. Just like a perfect mother, She is always there for Her children, constantly pouring our Her Grace and Love.

The Divine Mother Temple Fundraiser is a $10,000 initiative to transform the ashram chapel into a new Home, for the Divine Mother Kali, Lakshmi, and Durga Maa where all can come to celebrate and honor Her, and experience Her Love, Grace, and Blessings.

MEET KALI MAA

  • This special Kali Murti was enlivened by Paramahamsa Vishwananda in Colorado on June 22, 2008.
  • She was cared for lovingly by Swamini Janani in her home temple in Laguna Beach, California for 12 years.
  • This special Kali Maa is called “Dakshineshwari Kali” and is the same form of Kali which was dear to Sri Ramakrishna.
  • Although Kali is an ugra (angry) form of Maa, to Her devotees, She is the sweetest of the sweet. There are no words to describe Her tenderness, care, and fierce protection of Her children.
  • Kali represents the destruction of the ego.

MEET PRABHA LAKSHMI

  • Prabha Lakshmi was enlivened by Paramahamsa Vishwananda in Denver, Colorado in 2016.
  • Prabha, means Light.

  • She was cared for dearly by Swamini Lakshmi in her home temple in Colorado.

  • Lakshmi represents all auspiciousness and prosperity. Traditionally known as the “Goddess of Wealth”, Maha Lakshmi takes care of Her children both materially and spiritually.
  • Lakshmi is the wife of the Supreme Lord, Shreeman Narayana, and can be found at His Feet in loving service, ensuring all Her children receive the Lord’s Grace.

MEET DURGA MAA

  • This stunning murti of Ma Durga was enlivened at the Paranitya Narasimha Temple Inauguration in September 2023.
  • The Divine Mother, in the form of Durga Maa, is the Remover of Miseries. She appears in 9 different forms, each an embodiment of the qualities that one needs to advance on the spiritual path which are celebrated 2 times a year during Navaratri.

  • Like Kali, Durga is the one who comes to completely remove our ego and negativity. Her Divine weapons represent all the ways She helps Her children to remove all obstacles in the way of Loving Service to the Lord.

PLANS FOR THE DIVINE MOTHER TEMPLE

The new special temple will feature 3 stunning Divine Mother Murtis, two of which have been blessing America with their presence and Love for many years: Kali Maa and Prabha Lakshmi; as well as Durga Maa who was recently enlivened at the Paranitya Narasimha Temple opening in September 2023.

Our vision is to transform the former ashram chapel into a magnificent temple, a place of worship, reflection, and spiritual growth—a sanctuary where all can connect deeply with the Divine Mother’s energy and seek Her blessings.

It will be a place of solace and inspiration for generations to come.
