Our Tools

Bhakti Yoga Sadhana

All the ideas of bhakti have to be put into practice - theory and knowledge must become experience and wisdom. To do that, Paramahamsa Vishwananda has given us a series of tools designed to aid us on our journey to connecting with God and our true self.

Daily Practice

Imagine a life where you have a deep sense of peace beyond the fluctuations of the mind.

To find this real peace and truly transform the mind, Paramahamsa Vishwananada has given us the daily practice of mantra chanting, aka japa.

By chanting the Name of God, we attune ourselves to the Divine, awakening this eternal Love in our hearts and mind with each breath.

Paramahamsa Vishwananda recommends we chant for an hour a day to receive the full potential of the mantra in our lives.

We chant not only for our personal transformation, but as an offering of prayers for those in need, our loved ones, and humanity.

“The more you chant, the more power of the mind will decrease, the more you will be in divine bliss, and the more your heart will open to divine love”

Yoga & Meditation

Of all the tools Paramahamsa Vishwananda has given us in this area, Atma Kriya Yoga is its crown jewel. Atma Kriya Yoga is a full yogic system intended to help you dive into your heart and connect with the Divine. It is a daily practice consisting of powerful techniques focused on chanting, breathing and meditation designed to fit into our modern lives. Simply put, when practiced with sincerity and love, you will awaken your soul, experience God’s love and become your true self.

Knowledge

Wisdom is more than just information — it’s about discovering who you really are, who God is, and deepening your connection with Him. That’s what makes studying the Bhagavad Gita so powerful. It’s not just another book; it’s a blueprint of yogic philosophy for living a life of purpose, righteousness, and love. Its profound teachings are best understood when explained by one who knows and lives its subject matter profoundly. Paramahamsa Vishwananda has given us a simple and elegant commentary which we study daily.

Rituals

Our temples are the heart of the Bhakti Marga mission. Coming together to worship God through the divine chants, prayers, mantras and rituals is one of the many things that makes the path of bhakti so tangible and practical. Paramahamsa Vishwananda encourages us to bring the spirit of the temple into our communities, homes and our everyday lives. Through a traditional worship ritual called puja, we can enjoy the sweetness of caring for the Divine as we would any loved one. Bathing, dressing and feeding your Beloved in your own unique style allows you to express your love and enjoy the intimacy of sacred time together.

Devotional Arts

For as long as we can remember, the arts have captivated us—whether it’s music, literature, dance, or any form of creative expression. The arts have a unique way of speaking to our hearts, connecting us to deeper emotions and experiences. But when we turn that energy toward the Divine, something incredible happens. We move beyond our thinking minds and into our hearts, fully immersing ourselves in the love of God. It’s not about talent or skill—it’s about the sincerity of your heart. Paramahamsa Vishwananda encourages everyone to embrace the devotional arts, whatever way feels natural to you. The only qualification? A genuine longing for God.
