Chandan | White Stick SM
Every tilak applied is a quiet declaration — I belong to the Divine.
The Namakatti is one of the oldest and most beloved tools in Vaishnava devotional life. Crafted from sacred ash (vibhuti) and pure clay using traditional preparation methods, it is used to draw the Naamam — the forehead marking that carries the presence of Sriman Narayana and Sri Lakshmi. The two vertical white lines represent Lord Vishnu; the colored Srichurnam line at the center honors Goddess Lakshmi. Together they form a sacred expression of belonging on the path.
Applying the Naamam each day before puja (devotional worship) is believed to cool the forehead, balance energy, and protect the spiritual energy of the wearer. These sticks are equally suited for personal tilak, temple service, and adorning beloved deity idols at your home altar.
